Police are looking for shooting suspects | windsoriteDOTca News


The Windsor Police Service Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating a shooting and is seeking any information that may help identify the suspects or the vehicle involved which has been captured in surveillance footage in the area.

On Friday, March 4, 2022, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers responded for a shooting incident report in the 2100 block of Wyandotte Street West.

Officers arrived and located several shell casings in the area. Damage to a residence door was also located, believed to have been caused by the shooting.

Through the investigation, descriptions of suspects and surveillance footage of a suspect vehicle were obtained.

Investigators believe this is a targeted incident. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, approximately 6’0″ tall, wearing a blue hoodie.

Suspect #2 is described as a male approximately 5’0″ in a brown hoodie.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model Ford Escape, blue, four doors and unknown license plates.

The suspect vehicle was captured on surveillance video traveling westbound on Wyandotte Street West and turning southbound onto Rankin Avenue. Investigators are asking anyone with surveillance cameras in the area to check their video for possible evidence, including other footage of the vehicle.
