JAMMU, 10 September: The Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Avny Lavasa today discussed the district employment plan and reviewed the action plan for the use of e-rickshaws in the district here during two successive meetings.

Chairing a meeting of the departments concerned, she discussed the action plan and the identification of routes for the use of e-Rikshaws, the fixing of the price of the trip and other aspects related to the fluidity of the routes of the e-Rikshaws in Jammu district.

Commissioner, JMC, Rahul Yadav, RTO Jammu, Ghanshyam Singh; ASP traffic, RP Singh and other relevant agents were present at the meeting.

Breathtaking discussions took place regarding identification of hungry routes for e-Rikshaws in Jammu district, identification of routes and fixing of e-rickshaw fares in addition to other related issues.

The Regional Transport Officer briefed the President on the measures taken in accordance with the guidelines given to facilitate the use of e-rickshaws, including licensing, identification of stands, setting of travel fare, etc.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to expedite the process of finalizing the action plan, including the identification of e-Rickshaw routes in Jammu district to enable commuters to avail the facility and transport. extend to uncovered areas.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Jammu chaired a meeting to discuss and prepare a database of potential employers in the district to implement the district employment plan.

The Director General, DIC briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the data collected regarding potential employers/units that can absorb young people into employment.

The Deputy Director of Employment also informed the President that job seekers are being encouraged to participate in the ongoing job festival/fair for two months through sensitization camps held in each block of Jammu district.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to organize placement campaigns for youth with specific eligibility in potential units. She also insisted on the identification of priority sectors.
