Free Omicron diagnostic center at LGH – Journal


LAHORE: The Postgraduate Medical Institute and Ameer Uddin Medical College Senior Professor Prof. Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar said the LGH Central Research Laboratory (CRL) will provide the general public with an omicron diagnostic facility .

These tests will be free and a same-day report will also be provided, which will be useful to citizens, he said. The facility would be provided on the instructions of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Minister of Health Dr Yasmin Rashid, he said during a visit to LGH’s central research laboratory. MS Dr Amir Ghafoor Mufti, director of the central research laboratory Dr Ghazala Ruby, Dr Abdul Aziz and others were in attendance, according to a press release.

Professor Al-freed appreciated the professional dedication and hard work of CRL staff and said the coronavirus is a highly contagious virus that can be passed to another person immediately, but CRL staff did not care. his own life and continued his services in all conditions. He said 137,600 Covid-19 tests have been performed for free at the hospital and now the omicron testing center has been launched.

Medical superintendent Dr Amir said experts had advised people who took both doses of the vaccine to remember to get a booster dose.
