Belize’s KREM Broadcast Team Makes History!

By Bilal Morris

Yours truly has been helping facilitate the Belize KREM Broadcast Team since arriving in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, June 3, 2022 to cover the Summit of the Americas. Prior to the start of the Summit of the Americas, the KREM broadcast team was reporting on the Belizean community in Los Angeles and the Belizean diaspora in LA

I don’t know if Belizeans at home and abroad have been watching KREM WUB shows with Mose Hyde straight out of South Central Los Angeles since Monday, June 6, 2022. I’ve produced many of these shows alongside by Mose Hyde, and there have been many Belizean personalities rocking the Belizean Diaspora in Los Angeles who have been featured on both WUB and KREM.

Many of these stories also aired on KREM’s evening and morning news, which is produced by hardworking and constructive Belizean journalist Marisol Amaya and which contained informative stories about the Summit of the Americas.

Reports continue to be compiled and produced, and Belizeans both at home and abroad are encouraged to watch KREM news segments every day this week, as Marisol has produced some very amazing, entertaining and informative about the Belizean diaspora here than you are. check it out on the KREM WUB.

Where else would you have gotten a story like the one KREM News did on the Prime Minister of Belize at the Summit of the Americas on Thursday, June 9, 2022, but on the eclectic and informative KREM News? And that was the work of one of Belize’s top broadcast journalists of the day, Marisol Amaya, and her cameraman, Mose Hyde.

I have to give credit to Marisol after moving with her to many beats she covered and watched her work. She’s an amazing Belizean journalist. Her reporting on the summit continues throughout this week as she continues to work hard to produce the next news segment for KREM News.

There were a lot of sacrifices that were made to bring the KREM press team here, but I can tell you they were nothing but professional. They made history as this is the first time a Belizean broadcast team has come overseas to cover the Summit of the Americas, while also showcasing the Belizean Diaspora in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to my sister Marisol Amaya and my brother Mose Hyde. Two giants of Belizean broadcasting.
